| Review: FreshUI is an application which allows you to configure the behavior of Windows, according to your choice. The program's interface is simple and easy to navigate. There are several tabs that contain the different options you can play with. The main things are the applications, hardware, Windows Explorer, Windows interface, Windows system and cover the tracks. So, you can disable the Internet Connection Wizard, prohibits changing home page settings and history, disabling change color, link color and font settings, and also hides General, Security, Content, Connections, Programs, Policy and the Advanced tab in Internet Explorer. Alternatively, you can turn off the sound and full-duplex audio, configure Notepad option (eg ready to strike, italic and underlined by default), delete the last key to activate Registry Editor, disable or repair the registry editor and do not allow users to add or delete tasks. Additionally, you can disable automatic Windows updates, autoplay CD-ROMs and CD burning feature built-in (only XP), set the system unit and CPU priority WordPad, shows detailed information in the Device Manager, and more. FreshUI uses a very low amount of system resources, it comes with a help file (which might have shown the details of each option), and can be password-protected and is used by both beginners and experts. All in all, the software does exactly what it promises, but it does not necessarily give you the options that are available in other similar products. However, you should try it. |
